In short: log in at app.imageseo.io and open your profile. Your key is shown under Your API KEY; click COPY, then paste it into the API Key field in the ImageSEO plugin in WordPress. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one directly from the plugin’s Welcome tab and the key is filled in for you.
Copy your API key
- Go to app.imageseo.io and log in.
- Open your profile page.
- Find Your API KEY and click COPY.
Add the key to WordPress
- In your WordPress dashboard, click ImageSEO in the admin menu.
- On the Welcome tab, paste the key into the API Key field.
- Wait for “API key validated”. The plugin is now connected.
No account yet?
On the plugin’s Welcome tab, choose I want to register for a free account, enter your first name, last name, email and a password, and click Create account. The new key is filled in automatically. The free plan includes 10 images a month and needs no credit card.
If the key doesn’t work
- “Error validating API key”: copy the key again with the COPY button. A missing character or an extra space is the usual cause.
- Open the plugin’s Health tab and click Run health check. It shows whether the key is valid, rejected or missing, and whether your server can reach ImageSEO at all.
